Shaila Abedin has always striven to be the best at whatever she does, inspired by the women in her life. She tackled every challenge thrown her way head on. The first one she faced was when her team leader quit and she was asked to step up to the position as the replacement. While most young women would have given a second thought at being thrust into the possibility of greatness, Shaila Abedin embraced the challenge with open arms. She is now the SEVP, Heading the Department of Liability, Consumer and SME Banking at Prime Bank. She believes that financial freedom can help a woman carve out her path in life, which is why she has actively been behind projects like “Neera”, Prime Bank’s homegrown women’s banking initiative.
