For Dr. Nasrin Akter Ivy, agriculture is her one true passion in life. She may have been born in rural Bangladesh, but her trajectory in life took her towards studying agriculture; in particular, genetics and plant breeding. She completed her studies, including her PhD, in Bangladesh. Even though her career initially took her in the direction of research, she eventually moved on to academia; and is currently a Professor at the Gazipur Agricultural University, as well as the Director of IQAC-responsible for ensuring that the university maintains not only national, but also international standards of research and academics.
