Mouri Morium was always an imaginative child, thinking of innovative endings to stories she read or movies she watched. She used to imagine scenarios because she enjoyed it as a hobby, not because she hoped it would amount to anything at any point in time. It was at the tender age of 16 that Mouri wrote her first story. Then when she was doing her undergrad, she would write long and short stories online, garnering fans as she went along the way. When her fans suggested she start writing professionally, she did not even imagine that this would become her profession. A student of Journalism, Mouri published her first novel in 2018, and has published numerous novels since then. She also won the Humayun Ahmed Literary Award in 2022. Her story “Naiori” makes a story from rural Bengal so relatable that it made her the Stellar Woman in “Writer” category for Season 2.
