Shamsin Ahmed, the CEO and Lead Consultant of Identity Inclusion, is a rising development professional dedicated to offering assistance to marginalized communities in society. These communities were discriminated against and stigmatized due to a lack of education, awareness, and training resources. As a result, their employment opportunities were severely limited. To address this, Shamsin and her best friend initiated the ‘Identity Inclusion’ project. This platform aims to offer psycho-social support to these communities and conduct training for families and volunteers. The goal is to equip them with the necessary tools to promote the inclusion of this significant community affected by mental health illnesses. Her main focus lies in supporting individuals with disabilities and mental health challenges, something that we are seriously lacking in Bangladesh. At the moment she provides consultancy services to respectable development organizations like BRAC, CARE, Oxfam, UCEP Bangladesh, and many others.
