Sadia Jafrin, a pharmacist turned educator, is a remarkable example of defying expectations to fulfill personal dreams. During her time as a Teach for Bangladesh fellow, she observed a lack of interest in reading among her students. Recognizing that introducing reading to children improved their academic performance, she established the “Grow Your Reader” foundation. This foundation aims to inspire children to read for educational purposes. Sadia’s various projects, including library stations, the “Wheels of Wisdom” project, book garage projects, and the Sunboi audiobook collection, have received prestigious recognition. She is also an Acumen Fellow and was recently honoured as one of the Top 100 Leaders in Education at the Education 2.0 Conference. Sadia has also been selected as a Young Leader of the Queen’s Commonwealth Trust. The “Grow Your Reader” Foundation has been chosen as a pioneer cohort member of the ARC initiative by the Global Fund for Children.
